What We're All About

One of the most important things we can do as Christians is leave a legacy of faith.  It is a way that we can take the faith shared with us by those before us and share it with those who will follow.  We can multiply the blessings we have received and pass them along to future generations.  We can support and strengthen the faith of our children and grandchildren.  We can literally bless others to the third and fourth generation and beyond.

Zion Endowment Ministries provides the means for each of us to impact future generations and future faith.  A gift to Zion’s Endowment Ministries will be preserved and will continue to bless over and over again.  Endowment Ministries prudently invests your gift and uses the proceeds of that investment to support and grow future ministries.

Leave a legacy, and ensure the strength of the faith indefinitely into the future by including the Endowment Ministries in your Will.

The Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund

The Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund has been established to administer Endowment Fund contributions, memorial gifts, special gifts, and bequests.

The Endowment Fund Committee, elected by and responsible to the congregation, manages the funds.

The Endowment Fund Committee has been established specifically to enhance the work of the church by establishing new ministries and stewardship opportunities additional to and apart from the general operational budget of the congregation.

Gifts

Gifts designated for the Endowment Fund will constitute a perpetual fund from which only the interest income will be used to further the ministries of Zion Lutheran Church and special projects.

You may participate in several ways to further strengthen the continued ministry of our parish long after you are gone.

You may give:

  • Gifts of cash
  • Gifts of life insurance
  • Gifts of property
  • Gifts of stocks and securities

And you may give them for:

  • Special projects
  • As memorials

But especially we encourage you to remember your church in your Will.  A designated amount or percentage of your estate would be a loving gift of faith that would be perpetual.

The Memorial Fund

The Endowment Fund Committee will receive from you any gift that you care to give as a memorial.  They will manage that for you and see that your wishes are carried out.

The Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund Committee will receive any funds that you choose to give to the Endowment Fund and assure you that it will be prudently invested and that the interest from that investment is the only portion that will be spent.

If you would like to have more information about this Endowment Fund, please contact one of the pastors of the Church.

A pastor or a member of the Committee will be pleased to meet with you.  They will explain in more detail how it is possible to give thanks to your Lord for his mercy and grace through a gift of this kind.
