Worship Ministry Mission Statement

Growing Christians find their supportive environment in the fellowship of believers.
They do not live independently from the Body of Christ.
Worship requires a proper attitude toward God.  It involves the believer's active
participation.  Believers should prepare their minds and spirit for worship.
Sincere followers of Christ reach out to God in praise,
thanksgiving, dedication, confession, faith and service.

Worship Ministry Vision Statement

We are a Biblical community of faith, in which people from all walks of life experience
the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, find acceptance and friendship and discover practical answers to life's problems as together we strive to live holy lives.
In worship, we come together to bring glory to God...

Service Formats and Times

Evening Prayer
Saturdays, 5:30 PM

A quiet reflective service of prayer to close the day.  The service picks up themes of light and dark, prayer, the close of day, and the closeness of God.  The music is a blend of traditional and contemporary and the piano is the main accompanying instrument.  The service is preceded by 30 minutes of quiet performed music to allow time for prayer and meditation.  It is recorded for delayed broadcast at 6 p.m. Sunday (KCMR 97.9 FM).

Traditional Worship
Sundays, 8:00 AM

An informal liturgical worship service that follows the basic format of the Lutheran Book of Worship.  The favorite hymns and familiar traditional forms predominate.  The organ is the main accompanying instrument and special music is provided by multiple choirs, bell choir and soloists.  It is a service that emphasizes both the transcendence and accessibility of God, and is family friendly.

Praise & Celebration
Sundays, 9:30 & 11:00 AM

A non-liturgical service with all informal contemporary worship music.  These services feature a moderate blend of contemporary forms of worship.  Music is accompanied by a worship band.  Both of our Sunday morning services feature the same message from God's word.

Worship in the Park
